Having been married to my best friend since 2005, I have to tell ya it is great. He has helped me so much in my young writing career. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for him. I say that because as a creative person, your time is spent perfecting your craft.
I’m always on the laptop, writing, designing, whatever. He usually sits next to me on the love seat when he isn’t working for us, or sleeping hehe. He is most supportive of me and hopes one day to see my life long struggles end. I believe without him, I may not have the drive and passion I have. He inspires me and pushes me. Even though he may not realize it, he does.
Brian is the type of guy who is a gentle beast. I remember one time when I was working on a web site in the Adobe program; Flash for school. I spent nineteen hours straight on it. He brought me lunch and dinner and even tried to pull me away for a break but I wanted to finish.
I hate leaving things unfinished but sometimes you just have to step away for a bit. It’s the same with writing. As I work on Episode 3 of Sevenia, I find the same things happening. There is my guy trying to get me to break from it so I don’t burn myself out like I did writing the novels; Pursued, Killer Ties, and Black Rose.
So my question to you guys out there is, who is your superhero in your life? Who or what pushes you?
Besides my wonderful husband, some friends and having those pesky dreams help push me.
